For over 15 years, Fun In The Sun has guided visitors into the backcountry waters of the Florida Keys — past the crowds, to secluded sandbars and uninhabited mangrove islands where the water runs crystal clear over sugar-white sand. Depending on tide, wind, and conditions, your captain may take you to Mud Keys, Jewfish Basin, Boca Chica Sandbar, Snipes Point, Marvin Key, or one of several more secluded, unnamed sandbars known only to local captains.
Every Sandbar Charter is private, just your group and your captain. Your boat will be waiting and equipped with a cooler stocked with ice, snorkeling gear, and beach games. The water at our sandbar destinations typically runs 1 to 3 feet deep, shallow enough to stand, wade, and relax without needing to be a strong swimmer. Spend the day wading in shallow water, paddleboarding, or snorkeling alongside starfish, sand dollars, and a variety of tropical fish, while your captain shares local knowledge of the marine life and history of the area.
